Melanie Young has been the force behind some of the food, beverage and hospitality industries most enduring programs, including The James Beard Foundation Awards, New York Restaurant Week, Taste of Times Square and Dine Around Downtown.
Her firm’s efforts have helped to promote many international concerns to market their wines and foods in the U.S. – including Wines from Spain, Brunello di Montalcino, Regione Campania, among others.
Melanie started M. Young Communications Inc. in 1989 after a successful career working for three top U.S, public relations firms in Atlanta and New York. She takes pride in being a team motivator and in thinking out of the box when approaching a campaign.
M. Young Communications is recognized for delivering high profile, high impact public relations campaigns and promotional events throughout the nation for its clients.
Melanie is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, International Association of Culinary Professionals, New York Women in Communications, The James Beard Foundation and Society of Wine Educators.
David L. Ransom - Director, Wine & Spirits Marketing and Events
A lifelong member of the wine industry, David has been involved in the promotions and marketing of wines and spirits for over 25 years. As a founding family member of New York's Rivendell Winery, and as wine and spirits consultant and coordinator for various hospitality related companies, he has been involved in education, program and list development, and event coordination. He now brings this expertise to M. Young Communications where he is in charge of implementing the company's wine, spirits and events programs.
