Congratulations to Whitney Stewart, recipient of the first Melanie Young "Entrepreneur Scholarship"

   

Success is measured not only by what we make of ourselves but in the difference we make for others.

In 2009, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of founding M. Young Communications, Melanie Young established a scholarship in her name through Les Dames d'Escoffier-New York. The purpose of this scholarship is to help another woman starting over in her life to pursue a new career in the food and beverage industry. In addition to receiving a scholarship to her selected school, the recipient will receive mentoring by Ms. Young or another member of Les Dames d’Escoffier.

To be eligible for a LDNY Scholarship, candidates may already be enrolled or in the process of applying to one of the participating schools listed below. Application materials are available only through the schools, not directly from LDNY. While the application process for 2009 has been completed, applications for 2010 will be available through the following participation educational institutions:
